Shock ran through my head after her remark! True, I protected her, only for her safety! I just couldn't believe her!
I put my sword away and sighed once more. What could I say? She's so vulnerable! If I say what I really think, she might take it in the wrong way.

Nothing else was left to say, and I knew that. I hoped Ilia did too. I kissed her on the forehead and hugged her good-bye. Epona was ready to be taken back to Lon Lon Ranch, so I mount my young mare and trotted out of Ordona Springs just before the sun vanished into the night.

She reached out to him as he left. She would soon follow after, in attempt to find him and tell him she was sorry. She couldn't just allow him to leave her.
