Why was I standing there in the middle of Hyrule Field? Again, the bat lady was busy.
I didn't have a horse. I had a dodongo for a mount. Wonderful, wasn't it? The ugly wretch supplied me with a dodongo. Why couldn't I have gotten a horse? On the upside, these things were just as fast...and more heavily armored. The downside was their temper. Mine was passive at the moment, just standing there watching a bunch of butterflies fly by. I watched the sun rise, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Being in the dark all these years must've fizzled my nerves to the point where I was desperate to, at least, see a piece of the sun.
Although I was cloaked and hooded, that didn't shield any passerby from the glare the sun gave off from my eyes, making them flash red. Hopefully, I won't have guards on my tail.
Such a nice sunrise...

I walked furiously throughout the grassy plains of Hyrule after a long and pointless fight with my father. I just had to leave the Domain as fast as I could, I really couldn’t stand it there for another minute. My father is such an unintelligent, inconsiderate zora! I always wonder why he was chosen to be king.
I pouted and stomped over to a nice spot where I could at least view the beautiful sunrise on this miserable morning. It was so nice out on Hyrule field, the wind blew across my face, and I could just close my eyes and relax. It was quite stressful at my kingdom, and I was so glad that I could finally escape all of that havoc.
As I leaned against a fence, having the perfect view of the sunrise, I turned to my right and saw something unusual. “Is that a Dodongo?”, I thought to myself. They weren’t very common to see around here, so it was very bizarre that there was one standing about 10 feet from me. I looked up at the gigantic figure and saw that someone was mounting it! I gasped and tried to get a closer look at this figure.
I slowly walked up closer to the figure and decided to say something to him, “Um… Hello there…?”

Ah...someone found me. As soon as I heard those words, I was snapped out of my reverie. I pulled down my hood, revealing my purple hair, scarlet eyes, and ivory-white skin.
Both the dodongo and I turned to look at the zora, our heads moving in unison. Although the dodongo didn't budge, I spoke up, "Hello."
My ears twitched slightly. She seemed to radiate royalty, for some reason... The figure that had approached me must've been a princess.
"Are you here to watch the sunrise as well?"

[switching to thrid person!]
The Zora girl gazed up at the figure, relieved to know that he was friendly and did not want to harm her. He was also out to watch the sunrise, so she figured it wouldn’t be odd to join him.
“Ah, Yes I am.”
She tilted her head, smiling in a warm and pleasant manner. Ruto then turned in the direction towards the sunrise and continued speaking to him.
“My name is Princess Ruto. And who might you be?”

[Switching to third person!]
Xaro's scarlet gaze turned back to the sunrise as he responded, "Xaro Nightshade. I knew you were a princess by the commanding aura that is around you."
He shot her a wink from where he sat, the dodongo sniffing the ground. A smirk played itself across his ivory-skinned face, "I suppose you are out here because of family troubles?"

Ruto rolled her eyes and took a deep sigh. That was the exact reason why she was here in Hyrule Field. She had gotten into an argument with her father, which ended up worse than she imagined.
“Yes… I had a little dispute with my father, and I just couldn’t take it anymore so I had to leave.”
She frowned a bit as the sun slowly raised in front of us. It was a great view from where they were standing, and the sun brought some warmth to her cold and dreary body. Ruto didn’t want to continue complaining, because he probably would think that she was quite annoying and irritating, so she stopped.
“So, what are you doing out here this early?”

Xaro's smirk instantly faded when she asked that question. He hoped it wouldn't come up, but he had to be honest about his answer. The hylian dismounted and fed the dodongo he was sitting on.
"Spare time. Hopefully, to find help."
Cryptic answer, but still a good one. Xaro grinned inwardly at that. Maybe she knows a few people who could help with his dilemma. Although...confronting that bat-lady is a guarenteed death for someone who has no idea what he was doing. Even he confronted her, and ended up almost as bat chow. It wasn't exactly fair...

Ruto watched as he fed his dodongo and was as bewildered as ever. This guy seemed to be confined to giving her information about him, maybe there was something he was hiding. She wondered if she should keep pestering him about his life, or if she should just stop. But she was so curious to know about him, she decided to let out a question to ask him.
“What do you want to find help for?”
Hopefully he didn’t find her to be bothersome at all, but she was just a bit inquisitive about him.

"I'm glad you asked."
He spun around and decided to answer her question. The sunrise didn't help destroy his visage, in fact, it heightened it, making him look almost godly. "Have you heard of Dreadwing the Bloodthirsty?"
Xaro hated telling this story, but people had the right to know, and maybe they could do something about it. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to worry about that wretch always looking over his shoulder ever again.
Maybe...just maybe...

“Dreadwing the Bloodthirsty? No, I haven’t.”
A puzzled look appeared on her face when he asked that. Ruto never heard that name at all before in her life. Maybe it is because she really don’t get out that much? She only heard the gossips and rumors that ran around the Hyrule Castle town market. But this given name sh had never heard or even took note of before.

"No one's heard of her because she only destroyed one town before being banished to the Shadow Temple. She had destroyed...my town."
Xaro's gaze softened, then hardened when he heard something coming. Something...soaked...
"BUDDY!"
The hylian found himself tackled right off the dodongo, by a full grown male Zora. The zora wore waterproof gold-colored shackle-bands around his wrists and ankles, and a gold-colored waterproof metal collar. He had a tail, not just the head-tail, but a tail-tail, and it was shaped like a shark's tail. It was a long one too. He had markings all over him, and they lit up at random times. The zora, like Xaro, was handsome and well-built.
"Where have you been, Xaro? I've been looking everywhere for you!"
"Shark, get off of me."
"Sorry." The zora called Shark complied and got off. Xaro stood up and sighed, "Now I'm going to stink like fish..."
Shark punched him in the arm and started laughing. Xaro smirked, and introduced Ruto to him, "Shark, this is Ruto. Ruto, this is Shark."

Ruto looked at this new face. He was a zora, just like her, a very young and cute zora to Ruto. He didn’t look like he was from the Domain at all, so Ruto had never even seen him before. It was nice to meet a new Zora rather then the same people she sees every day at her kingdom.
“H-hello there. It’s nice to meet you, Shark.”
She blushed a little bit and smiled at this new zora. Ruto looked around and wondered where he came from. She didn’t even see him coming towards their direction, but it was probably because Ruto was not really paying attention to her surroundings.

"A pleasure to meet you, Princess Ruto."
The tall zora bowed in front of her, then the markings lit up in different colors. They were bio-luminescent markings, and were able to light up by themselves. He had clawed fingers, webbed, and clawed feet, also webbed. No wonder he was called Shark. He looked ready to kill! His skin was a blue-green color, the color of the ocean. Was he from the ocean?
Shark smirked, flashing off rows of shark-like teeth, "Well aren't you a cutie?" Although he did seem menacing, he was more of a goofball. Xaro scratched his head and shrugged at Ruto, not really wanting to pull Shark back from his flirting.

Being as flattered as ever, Ruto began to flirt back with this Zora. She just couldn’t help herself, being the endearing girl that she is.
“Hehe, well thank you.”
Giggling between every word, you could see that Ruto was blushing even more. She couldn’t stop staring at this Zora, until she at last snapped herself out of it.
Ruto shook her head and knocked some sense back into herself and quickly turned to Xaro.
“Ah! So Xaro, what was that story that you were about to tell me before? Does Shark know about it?”

Xaro nodded, "He knows. He was there when the attack happened."
Shark sighed, "Unfortunately. I managed to escape that one."
Xaro patted the dodongo's huge head and started, "Dreadwing used to have an empire, an empire of blood and darkness. Fed up with all of the senseless violence within the empire, the goddesses entrusted a tiny hylian army to get rid of it. They did, but none were left alive to tell the story. Dreadwing went into hiding, and did not emerge until sixteen years ago. She was banished to the Shadow Temple for destroying the town. She took me with her."
Shark nodded, "Now we've been trying to find a way to get rid of her, for good. She's too dangerous to even be banished somewhere."
