I'm afraid to say that Kakariko village could possibly be at its end. Everyone has been acting a bit… crazy, in the simplest term. My neighbors have been fighting with my parents because our puppy was barking too loud. It's a dog! I don't understand why they would complain. Humph, they're just jealous because my dogs cuter than there non-existent one will ever be!
It is not just my neighbors though; the guards have been acting funny too. They keep acting like they are hiding something; it's really scary. My mothers even talking about moving! How absurd right? That's what I thought before that cucco lady started yelling at someone for petting one of her little crazy fiends. I decided to think about moving too.
So that leads me to my current position. I am sitting outside my house, on the fence. My butt hurts really badly and I'm afraid to go talk to anyone I know. I think someone has been poisoning the well. Maybe I should go investigate? Nah. I'll just sit here and watch sounds more amusing.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement, so I turned my head and saw a little boy trying to fly with a cucco. Oh boy, then here comes the crazy lady! She's waving her arms and POOF hits him in the head.
I laughed so hard I fell off the fence. Clutching my stomach, I snorted a few times and then rolled onto my backside. Man… what a show.

Kakariko Village. Who'd have known it would be so... Very much like home. As nice as nostalgia can be, seeing as I'd left my home, it's not exactly welcome. Well, at least it's somewhere new. Somewhere I've never been, a whole new place to explore!
As far as 'new' goes, Kakariko isn't exactly it. Though, I have to admit I've never seen so many cocoo in my life! I patted one on the head, and was amazed just how fluffy it was. I guess all that fluff must work like a parachute, because right then I saw a kid jumping around with one over his head. More interesting still was the woman that whacked the kid in the head as he did.
On second thought, Maybe Kakariko isn't so bad. It's got that same feel that reminds me of home, but the people do have their own kind of character. While the woman was busy getting back her cucco, I flipped out my sketch book and took a seat on a nearby fence. Drawing in the outline, I was halfway through a sketch of the woman knocking the boy on the head when I noticed someone else sitting up by the other end of the fence. Though I was wondering why she was on the ground, I decided to just shrug it off. "Heh, does that happen often?"

My last laugh caught in my throat as I heard a voice. I breathed heavily for a few seconds before looking upward. Blushing immediately as I looked at the boy sitting down, how embarrassing?
"Oh ugh… heh…" I giggled; I just know how to put myself in the worst positions ever. "Are you talking to me? Or to yourself?"
I didn't mean for it to sound as rude as it came out. I cringed as the words rang through my ears. "Well what I mean was… well yeah… nevermind."

That was a bit of an unusual response, but I don't suppose she was expecting me. I didn't find the question rude so much as a bit amusing. "Heh, I meant to you. I'm not exactly from around here, so I wouldn't know."
Still chuckling slightly to myself, I folded my sketch book under my arm and pushed myself up off of the fence. I walked around and over to where she was sitting before stopping. "... Need a hand?" At that, I offered my free hand to help her up, trying to be a bit polite after seeming to have freaked her out at first.

As he offered me his hand I grasped it. I pushed my feet off the ground and stood, brushing off my skirt. I let go of his hand quickly and mumbled, "Thanks."
"You're not from around here? Huh… what would make you want to come to dull village?" I questioned him seriously. "There's nothing to do here and most people keep to themselves… or complain a lot."

Listening to her questions, I shrugged slightly. As much as I'd like to, there wasn't much I could say in reply. "I'm just blowing through on a... 'Tour of hyrule', I guess you could say. But, Kakariko doesn't seem too bad it's self. It kind of reminds me of my own home town."
Once again I had that familiar feeling, as well as the memories with it. Though a bit quiet, Kakariko resonated with familiarity and safety. Though, winding back to the conversation, I turned a question of my own back to the girl. "Hmm... If it's so dull and you don't like it, isn't the question, 'why are you still here'?"

I smiled, "I'm still here because no ones given me a reason to leave. I have no one to go with… I don't have many friends."
Shrugging my shoulders, I forgot to mention that the main reason I was here was my parents. I was afraid to leave them alone, not like I could defend them or anything. I felt safe watching over them. Plus, they're getting too old!
"Why'd you leave your home?" I asked nosily.

"I've just always wanted to go out and see more of the world. Do new things, meet new people, you know. Do something exciting, the sort of things you only dream about." Pausing for a moment, I added one more reason that was pretty high on my list. "... That, and there were some things I wanted to get away from for a while, back home. Besides, it's not like they're in any danger."
About halfway through, I realized how odd that last sentence sounded, and tried my best to rephrase. "Er... By which I mean, my parents have a safe bussiness. They aren't in any danger on thier own." Of course, this didn't sound any less strange, but it was somewhat better.

"Danger huh?" I grinned at him. "I like the sound of danger… to be honest my neighbors are kind of dangerous. That's the most action we've had with danger besides that big old volcano rock thing on top of Death Mountain."
I pointed upwards, not that he couldn't see the gigantic mountains behind me.
"Well they almost exploded once, that’s the most danger here," I informed honestly.

At the mention of her neighbors, I turned to look at the woman with the cucco. She did seem to have a certain scary quality about her... Though probably not all that dangerous. However, at 'Death Mountain', I looked in the direction she pointed and nodded.
"I thought maybe that was just a regular mountain, but a volcano?..." Now that she pointed it out, there did seem to be some slightly darker clouds above the volcano than above the village. Probably just excess ash from the volcano, but it made sense now that he looked more closely. "Heh. I guess it's a good thing I decided to stop here instead of going mountain climbing then, huh?" I added jokingly.

"It's not too bad of an idea to go Mountain climbing, but it's not prohibited unless you have a note from the King or Princess of Hyrule," I explained appointed. "Up in the mountains live the Goron's, which are a weird rock looking type creatures that roll around. To be honest, they aren't very smart either."
I laughed at the remembrance of one Goron I had run into, literally.
"They're really nice though, but extremely shy," I yawned, stretching my arms above my head. "They are kind of distant from every other race, but their own, I guess it's because they look so different. So they made this agreement with the King of Hyrule that they had to have a Royal letter to go up there."
"Then again it's pretty dangerous up there also, but it's not part of Kakariko. See nothing exciting happens here! If you want to actually see something fun you should try Hyrule Market or somewhere by Lake Hylia, you could have great picnics up there!"
I blinked as a thought crossed my mind, "hey! Since you're new here and everything how about I take you up to Lake Hylia. We could have a picnic and go swimming… you could even fish up there if you'd like?"

I mulled that idea over for only about a second before giving an approving nod. What would be the point of traveling to all these new places if I couldn't enjoy myself while I did? "Alright! That sounds like a good idea to me."
I remembered my mother telling me about Lake Hylia once when I was younger. She'd said it was a beautiful place, with the clearest water for miles. Of course, I'd never even seen a picture of it myself, but seeing it with my own eyes sounded even better.
However, while we were talking, I realized something. Neither of us even knew the other's name yet! "Ah, I almost forgot! Aheh... My name's Vadiant. What's yours?"

How rude of me? I hadn't even informed him my own name and we've agreed to go on a trip together.
"My names Pixie Dove," I extended my hand for him to shake. "Nice to meet you Vadiant."
His name sounded a bit strange to me. I wonder what it was? Hylian, Kokiri, Zora, ext. It sounded really nice though.
"What race does your name originate from?" I asked curiously. "Oh, if you're tired you could probably spend the night at my place. I could ask my parents… you could have my bed and I will sleep on the couch. I don't know where you traveled from, but you must be tired. We could head up to Lake Hylia tomorrow, by the time we'd get there today it'd be dark."

Pixie Dove... I cracked a smile, thinking about how both those things had wings. But, silliness aside, she'd gotten me thinking about my own name. "Hmm... You know, I never actually though much about that, myself!" I gave another small chuckle in embarassment, before continueing.
"If I had to guess, I'd say Hylian. But, knowing my father... Well, let's just say, 'you never know'." With my familiar goofy grin, I got slightly more serious from there.
"About tommorow, you're probably right. It'll be late soon enough anyway, so we may as well just wait. As for staying the night, I don't want to be any trouble. I'm sure I can find somewhere to stay around here!" I tried to be helpful by suggesting that, hoping I wasn't offending her as I did.

I shrugged my shoulders, "I'm sure my parents wont mind! Visitors always come up from nowhere and we give them a place to stay. If you don't feel comfortable though, I wont push you."
I smiled, Hylian. I suspected he was by the pointy ears he had, I always wished I had ears like Hylian's. They were such a beautiful race. Then there is us Hyrulean's, like everyone else. Plain and simple.
"If you don't want to stay though… not many other people are friendly," I informed pressingly. "There are no hotels also…"
"But if you insist that you don’t want to stay, we could meet at the small little tree in the front of Kakariko," I suggested smugly.
