I suppose it made sense that most people wouldn't invite me into their homes, but still, no hotels? Though I'd slept under the stars most of the time on my way here, I didn't feel very much up to it tonight. Besides, I had this odd feeling that hundreds of cucco might swarm over me if I fell asleep outside.
I gave an awkward smile as I realized I'd all but turned down my only alternative to being devoured by poultry. "Aheh, well, when you put it that way, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to stay the night," I said in an appologetic tone. "If it's okay with you and your parents, I'd be very Grateful."

Always sucker people into spending the night at my house. It was the slightest hope that someone would take me away from Kakariko village, saving me from this wretchedly safe place. Danger and excitement was what I wanted. Sure thing, excitement or danger was the farthest thing from Kakariko. Kakariko village was like home of the friendly.
"My parents love having guests," my sly smile slid across my face. My parents weren’t going to leave this kid out in the cold anyway. They'd probably slit my throat if I were to leave him outside with those crazy birds. "Would you like to browse through the village or come visit my place?"

Before giving my answer, I took one more quick glance around the part of the village around me. As far as browsing went, I'd already done most of it by the time I'd started talking to Pixie.
"Nah, I think I saw most of the village earlier, aside from the wierd windmill... Though, you might know a bit better than I would. If there's anything around the village you think's interesting, I'm open to go along." With a now serene smile on my face, I added one last part. "It probably won't get too dark for a while, so we've got the time to use, right?"

Dusk in Hyrule field was deathly; in Kakariko nothing was deathly unless you jumped off the Windmill. Interesting here, there was nothing interesting. Mostly around the small village were houses and the crazy cucco lady. There was also that tall gate the blocked off the way too where the Goron's lived.
"I'm trying to think of something," I mumbled to myself. "There's nothing to do around here… there is this crazy guy that dances in the Windmill so that's not the place we're supposed to go."
Walking in circles, "Hey! Let's go to… umm… get a bite to eat someplace? I know this fat lady that makes good sandwiches!"

At the mention of sandwiches, I put put my hand to my stomach, heaving a light sigh as I did. In response, my stomach grumbled, reminding me how hungry I'd been feeling. "Aheh, you reminded me! It feels like I haven't eaten in days!"
Of course, this was an exageration, but I really was hungry! With another weaker rumble, I nodded my head with a silly grin. "Sandwiches might just be the best suggestion I've heard all week!"

"Okay well, follow me kid," I giggled as I motioned for him to walk next to me. Kakariko was full of fat ladies. Some had husbands that worked on Lon Lon Ranch and brought home milk to sell or meat. Others made clothing or jewelry maybe even both. Although, this fat lady was different, her husband worked at Hyrule market and always brought back the most random and rare foods to make sandwiches with. They were delicious.
As we walked up to the small shop that had the name SANDWICH PALACE printed across, I breathed in the fresh smell of meat and lettuce. Holding the door open I walked inside and greeted the fat lady with a friendly, "How you been Mrs.?"
She replied back a nice, "Fine Pixie. What would you like today? OH MY! Who is this precious little doll you brought here? Is he your boyfriend?"
Pixie giggled, "Just a friend. His name is Vad. He's a tourist. We've come here for some of those double munchkin sandwiches of yours."
"They'll be right up," she smiled.

When she called me kid, I literaly clapped my hand to my mouth to stop myself from what I was going to say next. 'Kid?! Who're you calling kid?!' I would've yelled that out myself, had a thought not popped into my mind. After all, 'Kid' probably didn't represent the same things to her as it did to me. Either way, she'd been kind to me since I'd met her, so it seemed even less likely now. With a sigh, I forgot about it, and walked alongside her through the village.
When we enterend the sandich shop, the woman that greeted us seemed nice enough. I was a bit embarased to be called a precious little doll, and a bit more after that when asked if I was Pixie's boyfriend. I laughed it off though, and looked around us.
The shop was nice, and like the rest of the village, un crowded; but the main thing I noticed was the unusual things the woman made the sandwiches with. Some things I'd not seen before, and some things that were familiar, and all of them filled the air wonderfully.

"Sorry about that," I whispered lightly. "There aren't many boys my age around here. So when adults see me with a boy the jump to conclusions."
His eyes roamed around the vacant store. I shifted from where I was standing and glanced to see the lady that owned the shop bustling away cooking our sandwiches. Grinning I turned to Vad once more, "My cousin came from out of town once -he lives in Hyrule market, by the apartments- and all Kakariko thought I was getting married!"
Giggling I turned to face him, "This one lady even made me a wedding dress."
