As Ember entered the Graveyard once again several days after running from Giomanach and his Hunters...and meeting Dark in the tomb. The storm clouds above her had finally burst and the fair sky seemed to be crying, Ember sighed as she walked calmly up the stairs, the rain was washing away the dried blood on the stairs. She could almost see a figure of herself trying to run with that injury and absently she touched the bandage now. But...why was she really here?
Searching for him was a fools act! But Ember could think of no other reason why her path would lead back here again. With a sigh and sat down on the stone steps despite the heavy rain that dripped down her neck. She reached into her bag, pulled out her silver flute which she raised to her lips and began to play a haunting melody.
'Why have I thought about him?'

Dark smiled as he sat behind the large tombstone. The cool rain felt good against his pale skin. Rainy days were his favorite. The water reminded him of his home in the water temple, and the rainclouds reflected his mood: dark and heavy, blocking out the sun, and casting their shadows on the land below.
It felt good to have something to smile about. Dark had been rather moody the past few days. He'd come back to the graveyard a time or two to rest, but found that new dreams troubled his sleep. Dreams of someone with long black wings.
Dark started when he heard the sound of a flute being played in the rain. Curious as to who would be playing in such weather, he got up and followed the sound.

'Ember Severin, you're a fool...'
She thought sadly, Ember had thought about Dark a fair amount. Sometimes the images that came into her head were the worse ones where he had been pointing his blade at her but some were better...the short time in the water temple, his face when he saw her scars. Ember stayed where she was despite the cold rain and carried on playing, usually it helped her forget everything, block out any trouble that might be going around inside her head but this time it didn't seem to be having the same soothing effect...
'Why do I keep thinking about him?'

Dark froze in place when he saw her. Her golden hair and black wings were unmistakable, even in the pouring rain. He didn't make a sound to alert her of his presence, and as her back was turned to her, she didn't see him either.
'How can she be here? I thought she was gone forever. And that tune she's playing, it feels dark and haunting yet beautiful.'
Dark's head was about to explode when he had a sudden thought. He was still dreaming. That was the only possible explanation. After all, he had come to the graveyard to sleep, hadn't he? He must've fallen asleep and dreamed about Ember. This wasn't the first time he had dreamed of her, though usually he could see her face.
Perhaps he wanted to wait and see how the dream would play out, or perhaps he feared that moving might cause him to wake up. Whatever the reason, Dark stood behind Ember in silence, watching her back and listening to the melody from her flute.

Ember finished the last note of the haunting ballad she had been playing and took the silver flute away from her lips with a sigh, usually playing it made her mind feel clear again but this time it was still going in circles. The constant thoughts of 'What if' plaguing her. Ember shook her head at her own foolishness and lifted the flute to her lips once again, this time it was sadder, almost like a requiem...
'Why does my mind refuse to clear?I wasn't born for thinking this way...'
All of a sudden Ember's senses pricked up and she quickly stopped playing, wondering what she could have sensed. She stood up and glanced over her shoulder where at last her gaze fell on Dark. There was a sudden warm swell in her chest before she pushed it away.
"I...I didn't think we would meet again."

Dark stared at her, his fragmented heart in a familiar state of confusion. He wasn't really sure how he was suppose to feel about seeing Ember there again. Should he be happy that she was safe? Should he be said because her song seemed sad? Should he be angry and try to kill her again? Should he curse the goddesses for bringing her back into his life? Should he be giddy with joy that she had come back? Should he be hopeful that she had seemed to be looking for him?
Still thinking that it was just a dream, particularly because of that last thought, Dark decided to speak to her openly without malice or spite.
"I thought we might. Fate seemed to deliver you to me last time. It does not seem likely that she would work so hard for one simple meeting."

Ember was suprised by Dark's tone towards her, usually his voice was harsh and stone cold, trying to find a way to intimidate her or stop her feeling pity for him. She avoided his eyes for a moment as she slipped her silver flute back into her pack, a question raised in her mind again, what was she doing back here again? There was no logical reason that could have brought the Dreamscaper back to a place of the resting dead...was there?
"I never used to believe in Fate, it was just something people wanted to believe in because they had nothing else to hold onto...but now, I'm not so sure."
She looked into Dark's eyes, trying to read his expression but all she could gauge was confusion, indecision, even a little insecurity, that made little sense to her. Where had all that confusion sprung from? When they had first met he had concrete beliefs about himself and the world around him. What could have changed?

Dark was beginning to doubt himself. If this was truly a dream, a beam of light should be appearing to swallow Ember, or Link should be taking her away, or something bad should be happening. Yet he continued to feel the rain, continued to watch her breathe as she stood there before him.
"Fate is as real as the goddesses themselves, though it is not quite so strong as some fools make it out to be."
He was starting to feel himself drift back to his usual cold demeanor. It was where he was most comfortable, after all. On the off chance that it was a dream, he should be delighted. On the other hand, there were reasons to be cautious.

Ember wondered if Dark simply thought that this wasn't real? He looked at her like he expected her to dissapear before his eyes or if his hand might go through her if he tried to touch her. She took a step toward's Dark and gently tapped his damp shoulder.
"This is real, you're looking at me as if I'm some ethereal being that could suddenly dissapear into nothing."
She had proved that she was a flesh and blood being, Ember crossed her arms across her chest. Her shirt shifted slightly and the blood-stained bandage that Dark had applied several days ago was still there. Healing this would take time.

Dark stared at the bandage. It was real. Ember was real. All of this...it was really happening. Dark shook his head to regain his senses and took another look at the bandage.
"It...looks like your wound has barely started to heal. Does it still hurt."
Dark no longer felt the rain or the light cool breeze.

Ember was surprised by Dark's show of concern over her injury, she pulled the material of her shirt back down over the bandage to keep it covered. It had just began to heal although it was still painful to fight or travel too far without resting. She rested a self concious hand across the now covered area.
"It comes and goes but it means I can't evade him so easily."
Ember's eyes dropped to the ground. No doubt Dark would know who she meant, Giomanach, the hunter who had given her that wound in the first place.

"You seem to have evaded him so far. I see no new wounds."
Dark shifted his stance. It was barely noticeable, but now his sword handle was much easier to reach. Not that he was thinking of using the blade on Ember. No, he was much more concerned about Giomanach, the hunter who had pursued them the last time they had met. Would he follow her here again?

"I can't believe you were fool enough to come back here, Dreamscaper."
Ember's blood ran cold inside her veins, she didn't need to turn around to know who was standing at the entrance to the Graveyard.
"Leave me be Giomanach."
Her voice sounded strained as if she were tired but that only made the man laugh.
"Frightened he'll find out the truth Ember?"
Ember turned to face him and drew Epiphany despite knowing while still injured she was no match for him.

Dark saw the man standing in the entrance and his emotions drained completely from his face.
He said nothing as he took a step forward, not even reaching for his sword. He seemed calm and a bit detached, at least on the surface.

Giomanach recognised Dark from the last time they had crossed paths and a smirk appeared on his thin, gash of a mouth. He drew his sword and pointed it at Dark, this man exuded arrogance and a cruel, sadistic nature.
"So it's Hero from last time, trust me if you know what she is really than you wouldn't even bother helping her...she's only got four years left even if I don't get her."
Ember looked at Dark, what was he doing?
